2011 nissan maxima reviews

Basic exterior features of the 2011 Nissan Maxima should include automatic headlights, a sunroof, halogen headlights, and dual power remote mirrors.

For mid-level luxury, the 2011 Nissan Maxima provides drivers and passengers an unrivaled experience.

The Maxima is a great vehicle if you’re looking for a little sportiness, and you’re interested in a vehicle that bridges the gap between affordable vehicle and an entry-level luxury car.

The 2011 Nissan Maxima receives some minor revisions for its most popular model but is otherwise a rerun of the 2010 Nissan Maxima. Should you buy a "2011 Nissan Maxima" or wait for the 2012 Nissan Maxima? The car’s basic shape and engineering won’t change, so buy a 2011 Maxima if you want a solid, sporty front-drive sedan with bird-in-the-hand styling.

The 2011 Maxima 3.5 SV Sport Package versions gain a newly chromed grille, chrome door handles, and smoked headlight lenses. The 2011 Nissan Maxima is a handsome car, square-shouldered and distinctive. -- The 2011 Nissan Maxima is more than a styling exercise; it’s a midsize car with plenty of available power. The 2011 Maxima continues exclusively with a front-wheel-drive layout, which puts the weight of the engine over the wheels that drive the car. -- Nissan keeps the 2011 Maxima simple with just two trim levels: the 3.5 S and the uplevel 3.5 SV. Exclusive to the 3.5 SV is the Sport Package, which adds paddle shifters that help the CVT simulate manual gear changes, a sport-tuned suspension, front-end bracing, 19-inch alloys, xenon headlights, and heated mirrors front seats and steering wheel.

Similarly, the 2011 Maxima SV with Premium Package includes the dual panel moonroof, xenon headlights, premium leather-appointed seats, simulated Eucalyptus wood-tone cabin trim, and a 7 inch color dashboard monitor with rearview camera.

The 2011 Nissan Maxima is a midsize entry-level luxury sedan available in S and SV trim levels.
The Sport package features a sport-tuned suspension, 19-inch wheels, smoked headlights, dark chrome grille, gray metallic stitching accents, a rear spoiler and metallic-look interior trim. High-performance summer tires are an added option with the Sport package.
Finally, the Cold package adds heated front seats, a heated steering wheel and heated outside mirrors.

Standard safety equipment for every 2011 Nissan Maxima includes antilock disc brakes, stability and traction control, front-seat side airbags, side curtain airbags and front active head restraints.

2011 Nissan Rogue Reviews

Nissan has mildly refreshed the Rogue for the 2011 line-up while we wait for the next generation to arrive. The top-selling CUV segment is already overcrowded so it was good to see a slightly refreshed Rogue from Nissan.

Nissan has always targeted a more mature audience with the Rogue and 2011 Rogue is no different. Rogue really excels on this front by providing about 50+ cubic feet of storage space with the rear seats folded.

Nissan Rogue is equipped with the 2.5 liter four cylinder engine that pushes 170 hp and 175 lb-ft of torque mated to Nissan's well known CVT transmission in either Front or All-Wheel-Drive configuration. We think Nissan's mildly refreshed Rogue is a nice bargain in this overly crowded CUV Segment.

The 2011 Nissan Rogue ranks 18 out of 24 Affordable Compact SUVs. The 2011 Nissan Rogue gets points for its pleasant ride, good fuel economy and affordable base price. Consumer Guide gets right to the point on the 2011 Nissan Rogue: "Overall, Rogue's competitors are quieter and more refined, but this compact Nissan gets points for sleek styling, high levels of interior functionality, and value pricing. If you can live with Rogue's sometimes harsh ride, this little Nissan might make sense.”
The Rogue gives buyers a low starting price and good fuel economy. The Nissan Rogue gets a mild refresh for 2011. The Nissan Rogue is available in front- or all-wheel drive.
A restyled front end and a revamped dashboard – including this vehicle’s first navigation system and USB interface – highlight the 2011 Rogue changes.

Should you buy a 2011 Nissan Rogue or wait for the 2012 Nissan Rogue? Buy a 2011 Rogue.
Rogue is among the longest vehicles in its class. More significant, Rogue’s wheelbase is the longest in its competitive set. Rogue has as much front-seat space as those two, but its rear-seat leg-room is no better and head room is tighter. Nissan responds by dressing up the 2011 Rogue’s dashboard with revised instrumentation and by giving the entry-level model “mood lighting” and new seat fabric. The 2011 Nissan Rogue returns in three levels of trim, though the midline version has a new name. The 2011 Nissan Rogue S repeats as the base model and the 2011 Rogue Krōm edition is back atop the line. In between is the 2011 Rogue SV, which replaces the SL model. Those wheels are a size up from the 2010 Krōm’s standard 17-inch alloys and are newly optional for the Rogue SV. The 2"011 Rogue" S continues with 16-inch steel wheels as standard and the 2011 Rogue SV comes with 17-inch alloys.

Mechanical: The 2011 Nissan Rogue carries over the powertrain used by this crossover since its 2008 model-year introduction. Rogue exhibits both these traits. All 2011 Rogue models are available with front-wheel drive or AWD. Rogue has a generous 8.3 inches of ground clearance but its AWD system isn’t intended for off-roading.

Features: More substantive than the 2011 Nissan Rogue’s minor styling revisions are its added features and shuffled options packages. The most significant new feature is this crossover’s first navigation system. The Premium Package includes the nav system, power moonroof, and automatic climate control. Second in line for number of 2011 upgrades is the Rogue S model. Nissan’s Intelligent Key allows you unlock the doors and start the Rogue without removing the key from purse or pocket. The standard audio system includes a CD player and four speakers. All Rogues come with cruise control, tilt steering wheel, air conditioning and power windows and locks.

The New Nissan Sunny

Using the famed Nissan Sunny name, this new model will go on sale first in China in January 2011 and then progressively across 170 countries worldwide under different vehicle brand names.

Nissan continues to flesh out its sedan lineup, introducing the "Nissan Sunny" at the 2010 China International Auto Show and confirming that the car is coming to the U.S. at some point. The compact Nissan Sunny is smaller than the Nissan Altima and is designed to be more fuel-efficient.

The Nissan Sunny will be equipped with a 1.5-liter four-cylinder engine connected to a CVT. Nissan has not yet released any technical specifications on the car.

The Nissan Sunny was first introduced in China in 2003 as the first locally built model from the Dongfeng Nissan partnership.

Dongfeng Nissan launched the latest generation of the Nissan Sunny sedan earlier today at the Guangzhou Auto Show and made way for the future Nissan Versa sedan in the USA if you believe the rumors. In the Chinese market it is expected that the Sunny will become Nissan’s compact sedan whilst the Nissan Tiida will become the line up’s compact hatchback and thus won’t be available in notchback sedan form as before.

2011 Nissan Leaf: the Pros and Cons of living with electric cars

2011 Nissan Leaf
The car he drives now, a Toyota Motor Corp. gas-electric Prius, is the current front-runner in eco-friendly vehicles.
On Monday, Nissan Motor Co. will release its all-electric Leaf in Japan.
The release of the Leaf, which Nissan calls the world's first mass-produced, regular-sized electric car, is likely to rekindle the market for electric vehicles as other automakers are racing to roll out their own models.

Electric vehicles failed then because they were not seen as commercially viable--"No carmakers can afford to dismiss electric vehicles."
Before "electric vehicles" started to be taken seriously as commercially viable, hybrid vehicles with gasoline engines and electric motors dominated the market for eco-friendly vehicles--Nissan, he said, will do it with electric vehicles.

The lithium-ion battery that powers an electric vehicle substantially pushes up the price. The Leaf's range is about 200 kilometers between charges. "I don't expect any inconvenience with an electric vehicle," he said.--Nissan's Ghosn predicts that electric vehicles will account for 10 percent of vehicles sold in the global market in 2020.

"Unless the performance of batteries is dramatically improved, it will be difficult for electric vehicles to compete on driving range on par with gas-powered vehicles (approximately 600 kilometers)," said a senior Honda official.
Honda and Toyota are set to release their electric vehicles in the Japanese and U.S. markets in 2012.

The prevailing view in the auto industry is that consumers will want electric vehicles for short distances and hybrids for long distances.
Test driving an electric car at an automaker's media event is one thing. The problem is that if you run the battery down, it takes 20 hours to fully recharge the Leaf from a 110-volt outlet. A 220-volt outlet instantly solves the problem. Talk about a charging deficit!

Of course, the range goes up if you turn the heater off.
Nissan North America Inc. (NNA) brings sustainable mobility to Seattle with arrival of the state's first all-electric Nissan LEAF, following deliveries earlier in the week in Northern and Southern California, Arizona and Oregon. Area couple Jennifer Steele and Jonathan Hoekstra took delivery of their red "Nissan LEAF SL "today at Stadium Nissan. Seattle and King County comprise a primary launch market for the Nissan LEAF, as well as a participant in The EV Project, a research and charging infrastructure deployment project. The Seattle delivery is part of more than a week of festivities, as Nissan delivers the first Nissan LEAF vehicles to each of its primary launch markets in Northern and Southern California, Arizona, Oregon, Seattle and Tennessee. The initial Nissan LEAF deliveries will be followed by a second shipment of Nissan LEAF electric cars scheduled to arrive on Dec. 20, and destined for consumer driveways in time for the holidays.
